NEARBY PHARMACIES

This application shows the nearest pharmacies on the basis of the current position of an iPhone.

Pharmacies are depicted on a map or in the sorted out index starting from the nearest pharmacy, including the distance. If you want to find a pharmacy in a different place or region, it is sufficient to simply "shift" the map or filter according to the selected criteria.

The application localizes your current position using the satellite navigation system of GPS with the precision of several meters, or using the base stations of a mobile operator.

The database contains all registered pharmacies in the Czech Republic, i.e. more than 2,400.

DETAILS OF THE PHARMACY

By tapping on a pharmacy its detailed information will be displayed - name, address, contacts, name of the head of the pharmacy, and other information.

One-tap functions:

consultation with a pharmacist - You call directly to the pharmacy by a single tap ;

location on the map - The application shows the selected pharmacy on a map in a standard, satellite or hybrid display;

E-shop: Pharmacies which operate an e-shop, you can tap on it directly and buy on-line ;

Email to the head of a pharmacy Have you got any objections or are you unable to call the pharmacy? Send an e-mail directly to the head of the pharmacy.

Verified and regular updating

Pharmacies can be filtered out according to:

• distance from the map center or your current position,
• opening hours: nonstop operation, special working hours,
• pharmacies with e-shops / forwarding services,
• recommended pharmacies.

Full-text searching has been implemented to enable the finding of a specific pharmacy.

It is sufficient to simply enter a part of the name of a pharmacy, street or town… and the application will find the required pharmacy.

Verified data source - An index of pharmacies, contacts and details are continuously updated in cooperation with pharmacies themselves and using the information provided by the State Institute for Drug Control.

At present the application works with more than 2,460 registered pharmacies in the Czech Republic.
